Our Pastors
Pastor and Co-Pastor Victor & Billie Chambers
Elder Victor B. Chambers is Pastor and Founder of Power of Redemption Ministries , located at 7361 Old Alexandria Ferry Road Clinton, Maryland 20735. A native of Columbus, Georgia, Elder Chambers graduated from Baker High School in Columbus in 1976. Upon graduation, he attended Columbus Vocational Technical School, and received his certification as a Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Technician. He worked in that field for only a short time before he left home to broaden his horizon. In June, 1981 he enlisted in the United States Air Force in the Aviation career field, and became a skilled Aircraft Structural Maintenance Technician. He attended many military schools during his 21 year career while receiving credits toward graduation from the Community College of the Air Force with an Associate Degree. Elder Chambers culminated his career with honors, and retired as a Master Sergeant in October, 2002. Elder Chambers received Christ in his life in October of 1983 while stationed at Robbins Air Force Base, GA. He served faithfully in the church along with his wife, the former Billie Jacqueline Davis, who he married in September, 1980. In June, 1985, Elder Chambers received orders to go to Alconbury England (United Kingdom) for a 3 year assignment. He, along with his wife and their two children, Tiffany and Victor II, packed up and relocated to England. While assigned in England, their 3rd child, Dominick was born. Elder Chambers remained committed to God’s Word while abroad, and worked faithfully with the Base Chapel, and Gospel Services. It was in February, 1987 God called him into the ministry. Reluctant to answer the call, he opened up his Bible while in Bible study to 1 Cor. 9:16-17, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of for necessity is laid upon me; yea woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel. For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” This scripture confirmed the Lord’s calling on his life. Elder Chambers continued to train under, and was licensed by Elder Teri Aikens who was pastoring the Gospel Service at the time. At the conclusion of his 3 year assignment in England, Elder Chambers again moved his family after receiving a Special Duty assignment to work “Air Force One” on Andrews Air Force Base Maryland. While assigned in Maryland, the Lord led him and his family to Ridgley Church of God In Christ where he continued to serve under Dr. Herbert J. Russell. Elder Chambers was ordained by Bishop David W. Spann (deceased) in August, 1991. In April, 1996 Pastor Russell appointed him to serve as his Assistant Pastor where he worked faithfully in ministry until November, 2009. Pastor Chambers, by the leading of God stepped out on faith to plant a church. God immediately led him to a facility in Clinton, MD, just outside Andrews AFB. God miraculously provided the provision to build out the warehouse facility. In February, 2010, Power of Redemption Ministries held their first service in their new facility with just a handful of people. God has continued to provide and send His people with a mind to work for the Kingdom of God.
